Systems Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Windows Server Systems Administrator to manage our server infrastructure and ensure its stability, security, and performance. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Manage Active Directory, including Group Policy management, user and group management, and domain administration.
  • Monitor and optimize server performance, including disk space, CPU usage, and memory utilization.
  • Implement security best practices, including patch management, access control, and backup and recovery solutions.
  • Automate server management tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to server performance, hardware, software, and network connectivity.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to server infrastructure, including system specifications, policies, and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams, including network and security teams, to ensure smooth and secure operation of the IT infrastructure.
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices related to server administration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Windows server administration, including server setup, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Windows Server operating systems and knowledge of Windows Server Core installations.
  • Experience with Active Directory, including Group Policy management, user and group management, and domain administration.
  • Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or VMware.
  • Knowledge of networking protocols and concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Experience with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
